Meet this incredible senior dog with an enormous heart full of kindness. Despite the hardships he has endured, he continues to radiate love and devotion towards people. His gentle nature shines through, even though he may be a bit shy. His capacity for love is truly inspiring.

The Story Behind

In the heart of Tokat, a place where love knows no bounds, there lived a gentle soul named Aslan Dede – Grandpa Lion. His world revolved around the warm embrace of 200 canine companions, all under the care of a man named Davut.

But one fateful day, Aslan Dede was discovered in a state of unimaginable suffering, his frail body bearing the scars of a harrowing ordeal. We may never know the exact story behind his pain, but the anguish etched in his eyes spoke volumes.

With hearts full of determination and hope, local volunteers rushed to his aid, whisking him away to the bustling streets of Istanbul. However, the trauma he had endured rendered him frightened, and in his confusion, he fled. In the quest to bring him back to safety, Banu, our compassionate rescuer, faced her own heart-wrenching trial – a tragic accident that left her injured and her spirit bruised.

In the face of adversity, Banu’s indomitable spirit and unwavering love prevailed. Aslan Dede was recaptured, and the healing journey commenced. Day by day, his wounds received tender care, and slowly but surely, trust blossomed between him and his caregivers.

Today, Aslan Dede stands tall as a testament to the resilience of the canine spirit. His wounds have healed, both on the surface and within his gentle heart. Nestled in the comfort of a loving pension in Burgaz, he basks in the love and care that have been so thoughtfully bestowed upon him.
