The Story Behind

Zeyno’s story is one of triumph over adversity. Abandoned with a gunshot wound, she faced darkness and pain. But with unwavering love and care, she emerged a resilient soul, embracing a life of trust and joy.

Her journey began eight years ago, just a 6-month-old puppy, thrust into a world of cruelty and pain.

A bullet wound to the nose shattered not only her physical being, but also the hope of those around her. There seemed to be no way forward, and the prevailing sentiment was for a merciful release from suffering. But we couldnt let her go, without trying…

And so began the arduous journey of survival, a journey that will last for quite a long time… Zeyno battled through countless operations on her shattered jaw, enduring pain and hardship with unwavering bravery. Fed by hand, she learnt to eat and drink again, celebrating every small victory with love and patience.

The clinic became her sanctuary for 287 days, each moment marked by her determination to endure and heal. The journey was full of challenges – failing kidneys, a relentless battle with scabies and moments when darkness threatened to engulf her. But Zeyno held on, her spirit unbreakable.

Day by day, love and care wove a tapestry of healing around her. Trust began to blossom, like a tender bud under the gentle sun, and the shadows of the past slowly faded. In the embrace of compassion, Zeyno emerged from her trauma and stepped into a world of trust and love, where her true beauty shone through.

We fought alongside her, refusing to give in to despair, and together we emerged victorious. Death was conquered and life was embraced. Zeyno’s triumphant journey of almost two years taught us the resilience of the heart and the power of love.

Today she stands as a testament to hope, a beacon of courage for those who dare to defy the odds. Her webbed paws now stride with confidence, her tail wags with joy and the pain of her past is eclipsed by the love that surrounds her.
